Philadelphia Kindergartner Had Eight Bags of Heroin In His Pocket

Yep. You read the headline correctly. A kindergarten kid. He and his two siblings have been placed in protective foster care (duh). A news report states that "the mother could be charged." (emphasis mine) Then again, perhaps the boy was selling or using heroin without his mother's knowledge or consent. Hey, it's possible!

Also of interest is that the school did not notify other parents of the incident until three weeks later....after the story was aired on a local TV station.

I'm sure that the timing of the letter has given parents a great boost of confidence in the school's ability to include them in their children's education and welfare!
