American Soldier Shot By Sniper, Gets Up and Treats the Sniper's Wounds---Wow!
Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer, a U.S. Army medic in Baghdad, was shot in the chest by a sniper on June 9, 2005. According to the story released by the 256th Brigade Combat Team, Tschiderer, protected by his body armor, got up and directed his patrol's attention to the sniper's location in a nearby van.
The van was taken by the patrol but the sniper escaped, leaving a trail of blood. When finally located, lying on the ground groaning in pain, Tschiderer first applied handcuffs and then administered first aid to the man who, just a few minutes before, had been praising God ("Allah Akbar"), believing he had killed him.
Two men.....two Gods.....take your pick. I've already made mine!
P.S. The most surreal thing about this entire incident is that the sniper and associates were video/audio taping the whole thing. By clicking here you can watch Pvt. Tsschiderer being shot and listen to the celebratory words of his attackers. You can also, miraculously, watch Pvt. Tschiderer get up off of the ground, alive.
Scary....and creepy, too.
