Ex-Con Father Charged in Murder of 8- Year Old Daughter & Her Friend

The "monster" in Zion, Illinois, has apparently been captured and charged in the murder of two little girls.

The suspect had beeen released from a Texas jail in April after serving a 2-year sentence (for probation violation following conviction on an charge of assault against against the mother of his daughter, Laura Hobbs). It was Laura who was killed along with her friend, Krystal Tobias, last Sunday evening.

A father murdering his own daughter! Why?

According to a CNN report today, Lake County State's Attorney Michael Waller declined to state any motive in the case, saying there was no "rational explanation" for the killings.

"We don't know exactly what it was," he said. "But I think it's safe to say that he wasn't probably celebrating Mother's Day the way the rest of us were."

That, my friends, just about sums up this whole sad story.

Laura and Krystal, rest in peace. May God grant you the gift of resurrection to eternal life; May Christ Jesus, the crucified, risen and ascended Son of God, hold you close in his love; and, By the Holy Spirit, may those who grieve find peace, comfort and consolation in the Good News of the Gospel.
