Dog Saves Baby Girl In Kenya
BBC News reports that a nameless dog in a suburb just outside of Nairobi, Kenya, has put humans to shame by rescuing a new-born baby girl who had been wrapped in a coarse cloth, placed in a plastic bag, and abandoned in a nearby forest by her parents.
"Angel"
The dog apparently carried the baby in its teeth out of the forest and across a road to a place behind a storage shed where she had recently given birth to her own litter of puppies.

Children heard the baby crying and notified the man who owned the shed. Nurses now caring for the child at a city hospital believe that the baby had spent at least two days in the woods before being found by the dog. Although maggots were found in the stub of the umbilical cord, the child is doing well and is expected to fully recover from her ordeal.
Nurses have given the baby girl the name, "Angel."
The dog, apparently, remains nameless.
