JonBenet Ramsey Murder Arrest in Thailand

Well, it seems that an arrest has finally been made in the 10-year old murder case of JonBenet Ramsey. The suspect, John Mark Karr, apparently not previously known to the Ramsey family, was arrested in his apartment in Bangkok, Thailand.

I hope that the man pleads guilty and saves us all the media circus of a trial.

I also hope that the Boulder, Colorado, Police Department and DA will be credited with having had enough sense to call a halt to the investigation when no evidence was found that warranted either arrests or indictments in the case. The pressure on them to do so was monumental.

Lastly, I hope that, when justice has at last been done, the Ramsey family will be granted the respect and admiration that they deserve. They have not only suffered the loss of a child to a brutal murder but have endured 10 years of unceasing accusations that JonBenet's parents had themselves commited the crime.

I pray that everyone involved (except, of course, for Mr. Karr) will finally have the opportunity to rest in peace.
