Satellite Photo of New Orleans Flooded

Click here to see an excellent view of New Orleans from space. The photo was taken on August 31, 2005. The contrast between the dark flooded areas and the lighter dry areas is dramatic.

Note: Since the freeways are elevated and clear, what took so long to evacuate the Super Dome and other areas around the city? It looks like there is access to many places. Just wondering.
