Iraqis Heroically Battle Terrorists and, If You Thought the Terrorists Could Not Sink Any Lower, You Were Wrong

Iraq the Model relates two stories today. One is heroic, the other is, well, less than heroic.

Heroic Moment Number One

On Sunday, during the Iraqi elections, A'adel Nasir noticed a man acting suspiciously around a polling center located in a school in Al- Hurriyah. After concluding that the man was, indeed, a suicide bomber, Nasir ran after him, grabbed him and wrestled him to the ground. The bomb went off killing them both. Today the Iraqi Minister of Education announced that the school now has a new name: "A'adel Nasir."

What We Are
Fighting Against

I cannot find the words to tell this next story so I will let Iraq the Model tell it himself.

I strongly believe that terrorists are cowards but the cowardice you’re going to see in this story is just exceptional. The suicide attack that was performed on an election center in one of Baghdad's districts (Baghdad Al-Jadeedah) last Sunday was performed using a kidnapped "Down Syndrome" patient. Eye witnesses said (and I'm quoting one of my colleagues; a dentist who lives there) "the poor victim was so scared when ordered to walk to the searching point and began to walk back to the terrorists. In response the criminals pressed the button and blew up the poor victim almost half way between their position and the voting center's entrance."
As Powerline's John Hinderaker adds, "It occurs to me that these are the people whom Michael Moore....called the "Minutemen" of Iraq, who, he said were going to defeat the U.S.

Heroic Moment Number Two

Free Iraq adds another story as reported by Radio Sawah:

Citizens of Al Mudiryiah were subjected to an attack by several militants today who were trying to punish the residents of this small town for voting in the election last Sunday. The citizens responded and managed to stop the attack, kill 5 of the attackers, wounded 8 and burned their cars.3 citizens were injured during the fire exchange. The Shiekh of the tribe to whom the 3 wounded citizens
belong demanded more efforts from the government to stop who he described as "
Salafis."

Such stories will most certainly provide encouragement for our American soldiers stationed in Iraq. Assuming that they hear them. I doubt that CNN and other mainstream media outlets will even report them. So feel free to spread them around!
