MAYBE A TRIP TO LOURDES MIGHT GET HER BACK IN THAT WHEELCHAIR

Janeal Lee, who suffers from muscular distrophy, has been stripped of her title after winning the annual Ms. Wheelchair Wisconsin competition.
This hometown newspaper photo showing her standing in the midst of students in her High School math class was considered sufficient reason for her disqualification. Apparently if she had stood up and walked around in the privacy of her own home there would have been no violation of the rules.

"I've been made to feel as if I can't represent the disabled citizens of Wisconsin because I'm not disabled enough," Lee said Thursday.

Perhaps if someone had told her to just "shut up and sit down" this whole thing could have been avoided. I suspect that her competitors for the title are hoping her condition does not worsen during the coming year lest she be declared "re-eligible." Some people are SO selfish!
